Advice surgery for everyone

Conservative Group Leader, Councillor Andrew Hodges, will be joined by Anne Milton, Conservative Parliamentary Spokesman at the first of regular advice surgeries for residents in Guildford.

The Surgery will be open to any member of the public who wants to discuss an issue of concern to them. Anne will be available to speak with members of the public who have particular concerns about national issues or local issues.

Anne Milton said, “It is vital that politicians are available to speak with people as much as possible. I am really looking forward to discussing any problems or concerns residents may have, and most importantly, trying to help. I imagine that a lot of people will be concerned about issues such the scale of development proposed for Guildford and the chronic congestion that Guildford suffers.

Cllr Andrew Hodges added: “I receive a lot of phone calls and letters from local residents in my ward, concerned about various local and national issues. These surgeries will enable us to discuss these issues face to face and hopefully resolve many of them too.” Anne concluded by saying: “Even if we only help one person on Saturday, it would have been worth it”.

The advice surgery which will take place at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre between 10.00am and noon on Saturday 2nd November. No appointment is necessary. However if residents can only make one particular time then they should telephone 01483 575151 and speak to Richard Halderthay to book a time.
