Anne Milton this week visited St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School for a short assembly to award prizes to the winner and runners up of the Christmas Card Competition. The competition was to design a Christmas card for Anne and was open to all pupils, 12 years and younger at schools in Guildford.
Guildford’s MP, Anne Milton was honoured to be received by The Queen upon her appointment as Vice-Chamberlain of the Household when Her Majesty handed to her the Wand of Office at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
Anne Milton has encouraged businesses and charities in Guildford to take part in #GivingTuesday - the international campaign asking people to give their time, money or voice to charity - which takes place for the first time in the UK on the 2 December.
Whilst many people have contacted Anne Milton about the Local Plan, they were some areas in Guildford where fewer people had been in touch. A survey was sent to those areas to find out what local people thought.
Anne Milton, Guildford’s MP, has welcomed the new figures that have been released showing a further drop in unemployment. The figures provided are for September 2014 and were published by the Office for National Statistics.
