Anne Milton MP has welcomed the Chancellor of the Exchequer announce that local authorities can bid for a further £200 million to help repair potholes and road surface damage following the floods in December and January.
Anne Milton MP has welcomed the announcement that Sport England is establishing a special £5 million flood relief fund to help restore pitches and repair sports facilities damaged by the recent floods and storms.
Issues that were discussed included traffic congestion and the A3; noise and pollution issues; the need for upgrades to busy junctions and making the fullest use of public transport, cycling and walking routes.
Anne has visited Tillingbourne School for a short assembly to award prizes to the winner and runners up of the Christmas Card competition. The competition was to design a Christmas card for Anne and open to all schools in Guildford.
With a year to go until we mark the centenary of the UK entering the First World War, Anne Milton MP is urging her constituents to consider applying to the Heritage Lottery Fund for community projects to learn more about the First World War.
