On Thursday 7 May 2026, residents across Guildford will vote in the West Surrey Unitary Council elections.

The Conservative candidate teams standing across the Guildford area have now been selected — all local people, focused on the same thing: Practical Policies. Real Results.

Our positive plan: Get Guildford Moving

We’re campaigning to Get Guildford Moving — with a stronger local economy, improved infrastructure, and competent financial management that protects residents’ money and focuses on what matters day-to-day.

The Conservative candidates in your area

  • Guildford South East: Thom Van Every & Alex Fiuza
  • Guildford East: Adam Heilbron & David Humphries
  • Guildford North: Neil O’Brien & Adrian Chandler
  • Guildford South West: Honor Brooker & Andre Hester
  • Guildford West: Christopher Jay & Malachy Ujam
  • The Horsleys: Sam Tough & David Evans
  • Worplesdon: Bilal Akhtar & Jonathan Lord
  • Shere: Bob Hughes & Victoria Sena

Local priorities

As a Conservative team, we promise to work hard on local priorities that matter to local people, ward by ward, we'll listen to you and make the changes you want. Our promise across all of Guildford is simple:

  • Building a thriving local economy: parking free for the first hour in two centre car parks, clean up Guildford town centre and restore it to a place people want to visit. Support Conservative national policy to abolish business rates for high street businesses and pubs.
  • Improving infrastructure and quality of life: commit to resurfacing every road that needs resurfacing with 4 years. Free garden waste collections to reduce household costs, improve recycling and reduce fly tipping. Ensure new developments are built with the right infrastructure to support our communities.
  • Efficient and transparent council finances: a new efficiently-run unitary authority will mean we can bring real benefits to residents such as completely resurfacing roads and providing free garden waste collections.

And most of all, we'll be part of a wider, West Surrey Team with a simple promise, Practical Policies. Real Results. Ensuring Surrey’s future in safe hands.

How you can help:

    • Apply for a proxy vote – guildford.gov.uk/proxyvote
  3. Help deliver leaflets — we have routes that take as little as 30 minutes
